The forward of Zenit Serdar Azmun has caught the interest of Villarreal. The Spanish team is searching for a new striker and sees the Iranian as the optimal candidate.
According to information from El Gol Digital, the management of the «Yellow Submarine» is disappointed with the current form of their main striker Paco Alcacer and is seriously considering the option. The Spanish team has drawn up a list of candidates for a potential transfer, with Azmun at the top.
Azmun became a Zenit player in February 2019, transferring from Rubin for € 12 million. In the last Russian Premier League season, the player featured in 24 matches, scoring 19 goals and providing 2 assists.
According to Transfermarkt estimates, Azmun’s value stands at € 25 million. Previously, the player finished second in the race for Asia’s best footballer, losing only to the attacking midfielder of Tottenham Son Heung-min.
