Very little time remains until the main match of the premier European club tournament. The Champions League final, where Chelsea will try to stop Manchester City and claim the trophy. The Citizens are the favorites of the match, but is it worth trusting the odds?
Pre-match Breakdown
In the Premier League table, Manchester City has long secured all their objectives and became champions of England. Chelsea fought until the end for a spot in the Champions League. Despite losing matches where they needed points, the aristocrats managed to clinch the fourth Champions League spot.

Meanwhile, the Citizens were gearing up for the season’s biggest match and could afford to ease off.
Manchester City
Without a doubt, Pep Guardiola’s team had an outstanding season. They won the English Premier League and the League Cup, but the biggest match is still ahead.
One interesting trend is that in their last 9 matches, City has consistently scored, with at least 2 goals in 7 of them.
It’s not worth paying too much attention to the team’s recent results. There were losses to Brighton and a less than stellar performance against Chelsea, but we understand that the team was playing with a somewhat rotated squad.
Chelsea
It seemed like the aristocrats’ play was finally resembling that of a top club, but that quickly faded. They suffered defeats to Arsenal (0:1) in the Premier League and to Leicester in the FA Cup final (0:1). Interestingly, the team failed to score in both matches.
Chelsea also lost their decisive Premier League match of the season, this time to Aston Villa. Fortunately, Tottenham stepped up and secured the Blues’ spot in the Champions League.
The team’s scoring output has been lackluster. In their last 12 matches, the total was under 2.5 goals nine times, and exactly 3 goals in the remaining three.
Match Prediction
City appears more dominant. Meanwhile, the Blues stumbled through the end of the Premier League season, lost the FA Cup final, and are likely to fall short in the Champions League decider. That’s the trend.
As for totals, Manchester City has scored at least twice in all their Champions League matches this season. Chelsea can’t boast the same level of productivity. Despite English clubs’ strong defensive play, a goal fest could happen. So, we’ll skip bets on totals and go with a more likely outcome.
Prediction: Manchester City Win with odds of 1.95.
